This interactive event launches the Mind the Gap transferability series under Task T6.4 – Transferability. It will be followed by two online Transferability Workshops that will further develop and validate the ideas and recommendations generated during the panel.
Bringing together representatives of academia, business, innovation ecosystems, university leadership, students and researchers, the panel will explore how academic research can be translated into entrepreneurial activity and measurable social impact.
The discussion will address:
- barriers between academic research and entrepreneurial implementation;
- support required by students and early-career researchers;
- the roles of universities, businesses, investors and innovation intermediaries;
- transferring Mind the Gap courses, materials, digital tools and mentoring practices to other institutions; and
- the conditions required for sustainable adoption.
Onsite and online participants will contribute through moderated discussion, questions and interactive polling. The panel will identify transfer barriers, implementation needs, interested institutions and priority topics for the two subsequent workshops.
Together, the panel and the two workshops will support the project’s transferability objectives.
