The fifth CloudEARTHi Conference will be hosted by Ankara Medipol University in Ankara, Türkiye, from 6 to 8 October 2026. The conference will emphasise the crucial role of higher education in driving sustainability, Deep Technology, innovation, entrepreneurship, health sciences, and wellbeing.
The conference is aligned with the European Innovation Agenda and invites diverse perspectives on the intersection of Deep Tech, sustainability, entrepreneurship, health innovation, and cross-sector collaboration. It also addresses thematic areas that reflect the strategic objectives of the CloudEARTHi Initiative and its wider innovation ecosystem.
Ankara Medipol University has kindly agreed to host the fifth edition of the CloudEARTHi Conference and will welcome co-organising partners, participants, researchers, students, businesses, public bodies, NGOs, and innovation actors to its campus in Ankara, Türkiye.
Conference Theme
The main theme of the CloudEARTHi Conference 2026 is:
“Deep Technology for Health and Wellbeing: Advancing Innovation, Education, and Cross-Sector Collaboration for a Healthier and More Equitable Society”
This theme highlights the growing importance of connecting technological innovation with human wellbeing, health transformation, inclusive growth, sustainability, and societal impact.
Conference Scope and Objectives
The CloudEARTHi Conference 2026 aims to broaden the discussion on the role of Deep Technology in fostering a healthier, more sustainable, and more equitable society. The event underlines the pivotal role of higher education institutions in encouraging sustainable entrepreneurship, innovation capacity building, research excellence, and cross-sector collaboration.
The conference connects academics with businesses, public bodies, NGOs, start-ups, innovation ecosystems, and policy-oriented stakeholders in order to explore how Deep Tech, sustainability, circular economy, data-driven innovation, and entrepreneurship can generate practical societal value.
Contributions addressing the main theme or the conference sub-themes are welcome. The conference particularly encourages interdisciplinary studies exploring Deep Tech, sustainability, health, innovation, entrepreneurship, education, and societal transformation through different methodological, theoretical, and applied perspectives.

Format and Participation
The CloudEARTHi Conference 2026 will be organised as a hybrid event, allowing both in-person and online participation. This format is designed to maximise accessibility, international participation, and stakeholder engagement.
The hybrid model enables participants to contribute to the discussion regardless of geographical, financial, logistical, or time-related constraints. Registration will be available for both online and physical participation.
Conference registration and attendance are free of charge, thanks to support from Ankara Medipol University, the European Union-funded contributing projects, and supporting partners in Türkiye.
Organising Framework
The conference is organised within the framework of the Mind The Gap, Knowledge2Impact, and Scale2Connect projects, funded by the European Union, with additional support from Ankara Medipol University and supporting partners in Türkiye.
Some sessions and side events will be supported by Ankara Medipol University and the contributing projects.
Previous editions of the CloudEARTHi Conference were hosted in:

- Wroclaw, Poland, in 2025
The 2026 edition will build on this established international conference series while introducing a stronger focus on Deep Technology for health and wellbeing.

Peer Review and Abstract Selection Process
The CloudEARTHi Conference 2026 follows a structured peer-review process for abstract selection. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Scientific Committee before acceptance. The review will assess the relevance of the abstract to the conference theme, scientific quality, originality, clarity of objectives and methodology, interdisciplinary contribution, and potential relevance to research, education, innovation, industry, policy, or societal impact.
Only abstracts that meet the scientific and thematic criteria of the conference will be accepted for presentation. Accepted contributions will be allocated to the most appropriate format, including oral presentation, poster presentation, panel contribution, workshop contribution, or other suitable conference session, depending on the quality, topic, and structure of the final programme.
The abstract decision notification date is 25 August 2026, following completion of the Scientific Committee review process. This confirms that the conference programme is developed through a peer-reviewed selection procedure rather than open, non-reviewed participation.
